Addressing AIMAs 46th National Management Convention Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport & Highways; Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises said that #waterways is the future of transport in India because it is much cheaper and would reduce India`s logistics costs from 16% to 10% and 8%. He also promised 22 new express highways and an e-highway & talked about cost-saving innovations in land acquisitions which helped government save Rs 16,000 crore by re-routing sections of Delhi-Mumbai express highway through backward and tribal areas.
